After heading off to Durham University , I wanted to start a band. Will came to Durham a year later, and I told him about this ridiculously talented bassist called James and the building blocks for Motion Theory were in place. I then met Dom, who shared our passion for music and conveniently came with a fantastic set of vocal chords. I have been in bands since I was fourteen and gigged in many different areas of the country. I play piano and clarinet as well as guitar.  Now i have moved to Oxford University, i spend most of my time composing wierd and wonderful contemporary stuff with a kind of alt-rock-esqu edge.  I am currently working on many different projects, creating music across many styles.

A few favourite composers/artists: Debussy. Varèse. Stravinsky. Nine Inch Nails. Beethoven. Rodrigo. Shore. Dream Theater. Incubus. Show of Hands, A Perfect Circle... So a reasonably varied taste. I am influenced by all of these and more! Like many people, I go through musical phases.

Stuff I like includes  Tea and Biscuits, Cheese, Fire, Top Gear, Samuel L Jackson, Formula 1 and 15yr Dalwhinnie.
